Undoubtedly, you will find many things to highlight on your calendar when you have a beautiful on-campus chapel that offers daily Mass and rosary, resident clubs, trips and outings, physical/fitness activities, musical pursuits, fine arts, outdoor activities with nature (walks, fishing, picnics and gardening), computing, publishing, get-togethers, seasonal and theme events, intergenerational activities with neighboring schools and colleges, education classes, cooking, baking, movie watching, board and card games and much more to choose from.

Customer Satisfaction Surveys
We go to great lengths to make sure our communities meet the needs, and exceed the expectations, of individuals like you. It's simple. We believe that your satisfaction guarantees success within our communities.

Franciscan Communities measures the quality of service being delivered on an ongoing basis. We equally care about the satisfaction levels of our associates. The results of which provide us with important information that allows us to make positive changes within our communities to improve your lifestyle, and create an engaging work environment for our associates. Even more, the surveys provide our associates with the motivation to continue to improve the quality of our service delivery.

We understand that our current and future residents have high expectations for quality of life. Using satisfaction surveys helps us ensure that we are meeting these expectations.

Mandatory Department of Health Surveys
The Department of Public Health surveys our assisted living and skilled nursing services at a minimum of annually to assess compliance with state and federal standards and regulations. There are hundreds of federal and state regulatory standards we must meet. During the surveys, residents are interviewed, records reviewed and the premises inspected. The evaluators assess compliance in areas such as adequacy of staffing, quality of care, cleanliness and more. If a standard is not met a deficiency citation will be given.

Franciscan Communities strives for excellence in the form of deficiency-free surveys.  Our communities work diligently to be attentive always to the quality of care and overall environment. Therefore, to be awarded a deficiency-free survey, or one with extremely minor deficiencies, is a major accomplishment.

We are proud to share with you that the following Franciscan Communities were deficiency-free in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

If ever concerns are identified, they are addressed immediately. We work diligently to correct the slightest infractions and aim for a better survey the following year.
